Guillermo de Zamacona is a photographer and director based in Los Angeles. His work and gallery exhibitions have taken him around the world.

Born in Mexico City, Guillermo has lived there, Dublin, Los Angeles, and in New York during the past 21 years. He honed his directorial and producing abilities at the University of Southern California during the late 1990’s, going on to earn a degree in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Building his career from the ground up, Guillermo collaborated closely in numerous capacities with top photographic and creative talent: Matthias Vriens, Craig McDean and Alexei Hay — on projects ranging from editorial assignments for Interview and the New York Times Magazine to celebrity portraiture for the most highly-regarded glossies in the business: W Magazine, Vogue, Interview, Vanity Fair, the Italian edition of Vogue, Numero, L’Officiel and many others.

In April 2010 Guillermo debuted a solo photography exhibit "Project:Monarch" at the prestigious Milk Gallery in New York; it was written about in The New York Times, Vanity Fair and Interview Magazine. The show opened in Mexico City’s Fizz gallery in September 2010 and at London's Scream Gallery in January 2011.

His work is in the permanent collection of the Jumex Museum in Mexico City.

In 2016, Man 1, a short film he wrote and directed starring Tony Ward, won Best Experimental Film at the Los Angeles Spotlight Film Festival.

Guillermo is currently working on multiple fashion films for some of the biggest brands in the world and a narrative short.
